The November nine heads off to Las Vegas
The "November Nine" took 14 days to earn their place on the Final Table of the 39th World Series Of Poker. Play has been postponed till 9th November this year as decided earlier this year. The final nine players will return to Las Vegas to battle it out for the US$9.1 million first prize plus the coveted gold bracelet in what has been named as the “Biggest Night of Poker” ever!
So while Team All Africa is back at home, we would like to congratulate all our boys on their great performances. Andre Johnstone finished in a very credible 316th position out of 6,844 entrants and in the process won US$32,166. Sandy Koor, Director of All Africa Poker Tournament, was eliminated on Day 2, while Ryan Dreyer, Commentator of All Africa Poker, and Piggs Peak Casino owner, Howard Berchowitz made it to Day 3.
To see where the rest of the team placed stay tuned to the All Africa Poker Channel, DSTV 393 for all our footage from WSOP 2008.
